Large Families Turning to Traveling by Bus for Vacations

As family sizes continue to grow, more and more parents are finding the family car is too crowded for a family trip and traveling by air with children can be a less than desirable experience with the lengthy lines, overbooked flights that result in hours in the airport waiting for another flight and the high cost of airfare are making more and more families look towards chartering a bus for their vacation needs.

Take a look at the follow destinations -- chosen based on their family fun factor, amenities, attractions, and entertainment value -- and all accessible by US Coachways, a totally different approach to the family road trip.

At first though, "bus" might not surface as the perfect family mode of transportation, so allow for a moments hesitation, then think of what mass transit offers: comfort for the whole family -- no sleepy drivers! VCR players (many buses are equipped with DVD players, too.) Reclining seats. No fail air conditioning. Starting to sound like a more viable option, isn't it?

US Coachways has a full line of buses that can handle groups as small as 6 or as large as 60 to take families to these fun destinations.

Orlando, Florida holds the key for fun for any family with their large number of choices for fun. There are four Walt Disney World Parks, Two Universal Theme Parks and Sea World.

The city of Williamsburg located in Virginia has a great time in store for families on vacation. There are entertainment choices such as Busch Gardens and Water County USA as well as a chance to see America's past at Colonial Williamsburg that is a walking tour of a colonial village out of the early 1800's. Historical interpreters that act the part of village residents and live their lives, as they would have been during that time period, populate the village.

Anaheim, California is the home of the original Disneyland as well as Knott's Berry Farm. The beautiful southern California weather makes this a fantastic destination for a family vacation.

South Padre Island in Texas is a great destination for a family that wants to enjoy the water and beach. There are lovely white sand beaches and for the family that would like some thrilling fun in their day, a stop by Shlitterbahn Beach Water Resort will more than fit the bill with their selection of water rides that range from tame to heart-stopping.

Sandusky, Ohio holds the key for fast and furious family fun. Cedar Point Amusement Park has 68 rides and more roller coasters than any place else on earth with a current count of 16. After enjoying the fun at Cedar Point, families can cool off at the Castaway Bay Water Park where the family can enjoy a 100,000-gallon wave pool, a barrel obstacle course located on the water, slides and the Lagoon Family Funhouse.

US Coachways was started to fill a void in the charter bus industry that was lacking in service and choices. US Coachways offers among one of the largest fleets of charter buses in their field. Stop by their travel blog here: www.uscoachways.com/blog.
