ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine Launches
Blog and RSS Feed, and Goes Weekly

For Immediate Release

DETROIT — April 22, 2008 — ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine (RTM), the leading authority on women’s automotive and travel issues, is pleased to announce the launch of its new blog and RSS Feed on both its blog and website. These new features strive to provide more immediate access to RTM content to readers.

Responding to the ever-growing blogosphere and number of women reading and writing blogs, RTM has launched a blog as a supplement to its online magazine. The RTM blog provides quick, daily content that allows the freedom of commenting and responding to posts for readers who want their information to be fast, frequent and friendly. Blog readers will find car care advice, travel tips, personal experiences with RTM’s automotive and travel adventures and the all-important interaction of a blog. Comments are welcome and encouraged. Blog readers can subscribe via email or RSS feed so they don’t miss a new post.

RTM’s new RSS Feed allows readers to subscribe to the magazine for fresh daily content. Although RTM produces a bi-weekly newsletter in support of its newly published issues, each of which features all new content, the RSS provides immediate access to RTM’s daily updates. The feed keeps readers apprised of breaking news, new developments in travel and auto, and other pertinent information that is timely and relevant without having to wait for the next issue.

Published bi-weekly since launching online in 2000, RTM has also increased publication to a weekly with all new articles, updates and new home page designs to reflect the look and feel of a real magazine. The weekly distribution begins May 1, 2008 with 4 brand new issues published each month.

“We are very excited about these new additions to ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine, but this is only the beginning. We have much more in store for RTM in coming months. Our goal is to ensure that our readers have all the tools they need for making informed automotive purchases, cost effective and time efficient travel plans, and most important, staying safe on the road,” says RTM editor-in-chief, Courtney Caldwell.

Study: Perseus Development Corporation showed 56% of all blogs (in 2003) were created by women.
