2008 Vehicle Model Guide

2008 INFINITI NEW CAR MODEL GUIDE

InfinitiThe ultra brand of Infiniti — derived from Nissan of Japan — expands its line of luxury and performance cars for 2008, with new designs for the G37 mid-size sports coupe and the super-size, über-luxurious Q56 sport utility vehicle (SUV). Infiniti also rolls out a new, cushy EX35 crossover utility vehicle(CUV). In total, Infiniti's Class of 2008 encompasses six unique products, each posed for high-powered action and packed with high-tech gear and deluxe appointments.

2008 Infiniti M45M Sedan
Infiniti's lead vehicle is a sophisticated, nimble and stylish premium rear-wheel-drive (RWD) sports sedan. There are two editions — M45 and M35 — each with twin-digit tag denoting engine displacement. The M45 carries a 4.5-liter V8 notched to 325 horsepower, while the M35 uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 275 horsepower. Both models offer all-wheel-drive (AWD) traction versions for snow-country markets with the M35x or new M45x versions. The 2008 issues show revamped styling inside and out, more model and package options and added luxury content. Additional technologies like Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) system, add safety to the popular sedan.

2008 Ininiti G35 SedanG35 Sedan
Sensuous styling and a refined cockpit mark the G35 sports sedan, which is available in five elegant versions laced with a combination cabin appointments and sport-tuned mechanical hardware. Motivation for the G35 6MT comes from the VQ-series dual-cam, 3.5-liter V6 delivering 306 horsepower with a six-speed manual transmission, while the G35 gets a five-speed automatic with manual shift mode. Standard traction mode for the model is a sporty RWD orientation, while electronic AWD is given to the G35x AWD. A Sport Package is also new for the G35X AWD model. Other available packages add technologies like Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) or the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS).

2008 Infiniti G37 CoupeG37 Coupe
Infiniti's spirited GT sports coupe is keen in shape and slick as glass, with its 2+2 cockpit and high-powered engine up front pushing all torque to its big back wheels. The 2008 editions mark a new generational design with sensuous body styling, an aggressive zero-lift front end, revamped driver-oriented cockpit and a new engine. The VQ-series 3.7-liter V6 now nets 330 horsepower. For reining the wild coupe there are performance-oriented sport brakes on tap. To hone the G37's handling, Infiniti offers an optional 4-Wheel Active Steer (4WAS) system.

2008 Infiniti FX45FX Wagons
Stretching long and flashing a raked face with curvaceous fender blisters, Infiniti's prime crossover utility vehicles look and function like SUVs while handling like sport cars. The series offers RWD or AWD traction, with several powertrain choices. The FX35 uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 275 horsepower and RWD or AWD. The FX45 carries the 4.5-liter V8 worth 320 horsepower and AWD with 20-inch wheels and tires. For 2008, XM satellite radio service is standard for the FX, along with leather upholstery, a Bose audio kit and dash-mounted RearView Monitor.

2008 Infiniti EX EX Wagons
Infiniti says the new EX35 CUV possesses the soul of a nimble sports coupe. It resembles the FX35, though the prow looks more like the new G37 coupe. The platform is the same underpinning as the G35 sedan, FX wagons and M sedan. When it rolls out, the EX35 will offer RWD or AWD traction options. The powertrain comes from the G35 — a sophisticated VQ-series 3.5-liter V6 linked to a five-speed automatic with manual shift mode. Look for two new technologies debuting on the EX35, a Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) system and Around View Monitor (AVM) with 360-degree view of the vehicle.

2008 Infiniti QX 56QX Wagons
The made-in-America QX56 SUV is ultra-luxurious and vast, stretching over 17-feet-long. Despite king-size dimensions and a huge engine, Infiniti's SUV carries user-friendly mechanical hardware making it surprisingly spry and easy to maneuver. Inside, there's room for eight on the three tiers of leather-clad seats. Powering the SUV is a 5.6-liter V8 with 320 horsepower. Infiniti casts the QX56 with RWD or AWD traction. 2008 shows fresh body styling and a revamped cabin work for the QX, with a power-foldingm third-row seat, keyless entry and ignition and voice recognition controlling for climate, audio and navigation systems.
