2006 Entry-Level Luxury Buyer's Guide

Sometimes going beyond a barrier opens up a whole new world. Like the difference between a plain sedan and entry level luxury. Suddenly there's a new level to aspire to, an expanse of indulgent amenities just waiting to tap into. Where leather would have been very nice in a middle-of-the-road auto it becomes a tactile sensation of subtle superiority in a vehicle that wears a "luxury" designation after its name.

Rather than merely available for a daily routine, this is a vehicle ready to transport our moods from everyday to gratification. It validates the trying times in the past when we've striven to go beyond average in our quest for the very best. It's the vehicle that announces our presence with pride when a valet cites the brand name on the key before leaving to retrieve it. And it's the one that lends support as career builder when a step toward decision maker status requires a visible confirmation.

At times, there's barely a flicker of difference in the cost of an ordinary auto we've been thinking of buying and one step beyond into special.
