ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine Announces
Green Auto Section: Planet Driven

For Immediate Release

DETROIT - August 1, 2007
--In today’s automotive world, green is the word on everyone’s lips. From hybrid technology to alternative fuels, the buzz on all things environmentally-friendly is continuous, and crucial to the existence of our planet. To keep readers accurately informed and dissect the latest eco lingo, ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine (RTM) is pleased to announce the launch of their newest automotive section, Planet Driven.

Dedicated to covering the growing eco-conscious market in-depth, Planet Driven aims to enlighten car-buyers and interested consumers with reviews of the newest hybrids and alternative fuel vehicles, tips for maximum fuel-efficiency and advice on reducing carbon footprints, among other important topics.

Utilizing the expertise of RTM editors and writers, Planet Driven serves as the website’s newest addition and tackles the difficult decision-making process that car consumers now face daily.

Says RTM Editor-in-Chief Courtney Caldwell, “The earth is being affected every day by the choices that consumers and automakers make regarding automobiles, gasoline and technology. The mission of Planet Driven is to provide the latest news and updates so that consumers can make informed decisions when considering vehicle purchases, alternative fuels or other auto-related products that benefit our environment.”

Poll results reveal that seven in ten people believe that investing in cleaner and more efficient fuels and technology will make a big difference for the environment.* To find out how consumers and car-buyers can make a difference today, check out RTM’s Planet Driven automotive section.

There, readers will find RTM’s 2007 Green Buyer’s Guide, information on the new Environmental Protection Agency MPG Standards for 2008, and advice on topics such as offsetting carbon emissions.

RTM’s travel readers will also enjoy our recently launched green travel section, Earth Tones, which reveals the best eco-friendly travel products, our Green B&B Guide, and tips on finding a great eco-lodge among other topics.

*According to the New American Dream Poll, 2004
