Survey: Americans Flock to
Automotive Websites

One-third of Internet users in the US visited automotive websites in February 2003, according to new research from comScore Media Metrix.

The company’s latest report indicates that 48 million US Internet users visited websites in the automotive category during February 2003.

eBay Motors was the most popular website with 10.6 million unique visitors. Autobytel Inc, owners of both Autoweb.com and Carsmart.com drew 7.7 million unique visitors during the month.

The so-called ‘big three’ manufacturers – General Motors, Ford and DaimlerChrysler, drew 5.7 million, 4.2 and 3.2 million unique visitors respectively.
