The Alaska Native Heritage Center is Alaska's premier interactive cultural destination; a gathering place that celebrates, perpetuates and share Alaska Native cultures. Explore a village circle, five traditional village exhibits and a talking circle, where Native games will be demonstrated are located on the trail that circles the two acre lake.

Go for an unforgettable three and a half hour cruise into the history of Interior Alaska, aboard the authentic sternwheeler Riverboat Discovery III with Riverboat Discovery Cruises. Three of the Discovery III's decks are heated and fully enclosed with glass windows, and the fourth is an open air sun deck. Two full-service snack bars offer a variety of fresh home-made Sourdough sandwiches, Captain Jim's famous smoked salmon chowder, beverages, and snacks.

Explore Northern Treasures and see award winning exhibits on Alaska's natural and cultural history at the University of Alaska Museum. Highlights include largest gold exhibit in the state, 36,000 year old steppe bison mummy, Native Alaskan art, woolly mammoths, bears, and wolves. Open daily, all year.

Kenai Fjords Tours
provide the maximum opportunity for seeing whales, sea lions, otters, and mountain goats playing and feeding, a massive tidewater glacier calving to the sea, and the stunning beauty of the glacially-carved cliffs. Tours range from 3 hrs to 9.5 hrs long.
