AARP Members Enjoy Special Savings
on Carnival 'Fun Ship' Cruises

AARP members can now take advantage of special savings on a variety of "Fun Ship" departures from Carnival Cruise Lines.

New Web-based specials, which will be featured within the AARP's monthly on-line travel newsletter, include savings of up to $200 per stateroom on a wide range of "Fun Ship" departures between now and February 2003. AARP members can access the specials simply by visiting the organization's Web site at www.aarp.org/carnival.

Through Carnival's participation in AARP Privileges, AARP's discount and value program, AARP's 35 million members also enjoy savings of $100 per stateroom on most seven-day or longer "Fun Ship" cruises and $50 per stateroom on all of the line's three-, four- and five-day voyages. The exclusive AARP member discounts extend to a variety of ocean view stateroom categories and cannot be combined with the new Web-based specials.

Both the Web-based specials and the exclusive AARP member discounts are combinable with Carnival's advance purchase Super Saver program.

People over the age of 50 comprise more than a third of Carnival's passengers, which translates to roughly 800,000 guests annually. And, the trend of multi-generational travel promises future growth. Multi-generational travel -- grandparents traveling with children and grandchildren to family reunions and gatherings -- is a growing trend within the travel industry.

"As more of our members search for multi-generational travel
experiences, we're pleased to make available these special savings from Carnival Cruise Lines through our AARP Privileges Program," said Hal Norvell, Manager, Personal Enrichment, AARP Services, Inc.

"Carnival carries more guests over age 50 than any other cruise line and we're delighted to provide AARP members with these special 'Fun Ship' discounts, which when combined with our already attractive fares, make the best value in cruising even
better," said Carnival President Bob Dickinson.

To take advantage of the new Web-based specials, AARP members must request fare code CPRP and present proof of membership. The exclusive AARP discounts apply to the purchase of category 6 staterooms and higher, are available by
contacting any travel agent or calling Carnival at 1-800-227-6482.
