Situated
on 2,300 acres between the Green and Taconic Mountains, The Equinox,
with 183 rooms and suites, dates back more than 200 years. Comprised
on the historic Equinox Hotel, the 1769 Marsh Tavern and the intimately
luxurious Charles Orvis Inn, the resort offers championship 18-hole
golf, year-round outdoor activities and ideal proximity to the cultural
happenings of Vermont. The three restaurants offer variety ranging
from romantic intimacy to a historic tavern to golf club informality.
Among The Equinox's more unusual activities are courses in falconry
and the unique Land Rover 4x4 Driving School. In addition to golf,
there are three tennis courts, two swimming pools and hiking, biking
and climbing in summer; cross country skiing and other sports in
winter on the 900 acres of The Equinox Preservation Trust. www.equinoxresort.com |
