2008 Vehicle Model Guide

2008 LINCOLN LINE UP

LincolnLincoln's 2008 products, from the Lincoln-Mercury Division of Ford Motor Company, includes the repeating classic, luxurious, super-size Navigator SUV. Three new nameplates also park on Lincoln's lot this year — MKZ, the mid-size luxury sedan; MKX, the car-like crossover utility vehicle (CUV) and Mark LT, Lincoln's big luxury truck.

More equipment comes to Lincoln's luxurious full-size SUV, such as a power liftgate, heated and cooled seats, Sirius satellite radio, a THX II audio system and convenient PowerFold third-row seat. Navigator's vast cabin shows three tiers of seats including a third-row bench that tucks into the floor. An available stretched version, the Navigator L, adds 25 more cubic feet of cargo space. For firepower, a 5.4-liter V8 delivers 300 horsepower to the Navigator through a six-speed automatic. The AdvanceTrac anti-skid gizmo with Roll Stability Control (RSC) is aboard, along with curtain-style air bags and all-wheel-drive (AWD) traction.

2008 Lincoln Mark LTMark LT
Riding on the full-size chassis of Ford's F-150, Lincoln's luxury truck features design cues like a waterfall grille and thick-spoked wheels plated in chrome. Inside a four-door cab, there's wood accents, leathered seats and textured aluminum dotting door panels and the console. For power, Ford's 5.4-liter Triton V8 kicks up 300 horsepower and elevates the Mark LT's tow capacity to 8,900 pounds. Optional gear extends to four-wheel-drive (4WD) traction, power adjustable pedals, power moonroof and a new Rearview Camera System that displays the truck's rearward path.

2008 Lincoln MKXMKX
This luxurious Lincoln CUV presents a sporty pose for a wagon with high-tech equipment, and a fuel-efficient powertrain working with all-wheel-drive (AWD) traction. The 3.5-liter V6 makes 265 horsepower with a six-speed automatic shifter. The MKX's cabin holds a pair of bucket seats up front and a back bench for three, split 60/40, with folding seatback to expand the rear cargo area. The optional glass Vista Roof brings open-air motoring to the CUV. New standards for 2008 are the Reverse Sensing System, heated and cooled front seats and 20-inch chrome wheels.

2008 Lincoln MKZMKZ
The mid-size MKZ luxury sedan looks classy and sleek, making a dramatic statement of style. The sedan rolls on 17-inch machined, aluminum wheels and comes with front-wheel-drive (FWD) traction or optional on-demand AWD. Decor for the five-seat cabin is understated, with luxurious materials in satin nickel, soft leathers, real wood and the occasional bright glints of chrome. The powertrain is a 3.5-liter aluminum V6 engine, which delivers 263 horsepower through a six-speed automatic transaxle. The 2008 MKZ gains standard gear like Lincoln Sync, a voice-activated hands-free in-car communications and entertainment system.
