2003 Ford Cars Model Guide
by Bob Plunkett

2003 Ford Thunderbird
2003 Ford Thunderbird

In a contemporary homage to Ford's brilliant two-seat sports car from 1955, the Thunderbird was born again in 2002 as a stunning two-seat convertible.

New colors appear with current editions, like Mountain Shadow Gray and Desert Sky Blue. Further, a new interior package brings leather saddle seats and leather on the steering wheel and shifter knob.

Electronic throttle control and variable cam timing enhance performance of the 3.9-liter aluminum V8 with output hiked to 280 hp.

All-speed traction control is standard equipment now and heat elements for seats are available.
